This summer the Surrey Hills will be buzzing once more as Albury Music Festival serves up a slice of music and family-friendly fun.

This year the festival will take place on Sunday, July 16 at Albury Cricket Ground.

Now in its ninth year, the festival organisers refer to their event as one of Surrey’s best kept secrets. The best bit? The team have worked hard to ensure the festival is a FREE community event that everyone can enjoy.

What’s happening

The Albury Music Festival showcases high quality local musical talent, playing both cover versions and original songs.

On the day there will be a BBQ, festival bars and other refreshment. Picnics are also welcome on site – woohoo! – which is ideal for families on a budget or those with fussy eaters.

If little ones get restless, other activities at the festival include a bouncy castle, face painting and a variety of stalls.

You’re welcome to bring your own gazeebo for shade. These are charged at £30 for a 3m x 3m structure, or £50 for larger gazeebos.

Helping Home-Start Guildford

The event is a not-for-profit labour of love run completely by volunteers. This year the festival has chosen Home-Start Guildford as its sponsored charity. Any donations on the day will be gratefully received.

The festival has certainly come a long since its roots nearly a decade ago. It has become an atmospheric day of entertainment that endorses Albury as a great place to live, work and visit.
