Gather up your little ghouls and let the Halloween fun begin! Here are some of our favourite Halloween events for young children in Surrey this October.

Haunted Halloween Fun at Priory Farm, Redhill, RH1 4EJ
Saturday 7th to Tuesday 31st October 2017
Jump on your broomstick and have a horribly good time! Frightfully good fun starts from Saturday 7 October. Take a tractor trailer ride to our pumpkin field, get some frights, fun and fresh air on The Discovery Walk, and brave the cobwebs to see our eerie Jack-o-lantern display and carve your own pumpkin. 

October Half Term Week at RHS Wisley, Woking, GU23 6QB
Saturday 21st to Sunday 29th October 2017
Delve into the world of creepy creatures with our special family activities – there’s something to do every day from 21 – 29 October! Including arts & crafts, Halloween themed planting, and pumpkin carving.
Activities are free with normal garden admission, unless otherwise stated.

Halloween Half Term at Winkworth Arboretum, Godalming, GU8 4AD
Saturday 21st to Sunday 29th October 2017, 10.00am-4.00pm
Have fun with a spooky trail around the arboretum. Free entry for children in Hallowe’en costume. 50p per trail, plus normal admission charges apply for the venue.

Wizards and Witches Week at Bocketts Farm, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 9BS
Saturday 21st to Sunday 29th October 2017, 10.00am-5.30pm
Have some Halloween fun at Bocketts Farm. Spooky quiz trail, daily shows from the Wizard Magician, reptile roadshow, creepy craft corner, plus hundreds of pumpkins for sale. Normal admission applies.

Half Term Witchcraft at Dapdune Wharf, Guildford, GU1 4RR
Saturday 21st to Sunday 29th October 2017, 10.00am-4.00pm
The wicked witches of the East and West and the good witches of the North and South are flying to Dapdune Wharf this half term to meet up with the wizards. Come and join them in their mischief. Make your own broom, get lost in the spooky maze and learn how to make bubbling potions. It might be spooky, it might be frightful, but you can be certain it will be magical! £2.50 for children’s activities, and normal admission charges apply for the venue.

Toto’s Return to Oz Halloween Trail at Polesden Lacey, Dorking, RH5 6BD
Saturday 21st to Sunday 29th October 2017, 11.00am-5.00pm
Journey over the rainbow and join us this October half term for a wicked Halloween trail. Transported to the magical land of Oz, Mrs Greville’s dogs Josey and Dougall must help Toto in a dangerous quest. Can you help these intrepid little Cairn Terriers overcome witches, wizards and wonders in the wild woods to find Toto’s magic ruby collar?  Normal admission applies, plus £3 per hero. 

Gothic Hallowe’en Trail at Claremont Gardens, Esher, KT10 9JG
Saturday 21st to Tuesday 31st October 2017, 10.00am-3.00pm
Head out into the garden on a Gothic-themed family trail. 50p per trail, plus normal admission charges apply for the venue.

Hallowe’en Craft Workshop at Claremont Gardens, Esher, KT10 9JG
Monday 23rd, Tuesday 24th, Wednesday 25th & Friday 27th October 2017, 11.00am-1.00pm
Helpers will be on hand to assist you with your creations in this seasonal children’s workshop. £1.50 per child for activities. Normal admission applies,  but free entry to the garden will be given to children dressed in Hallowe’en costume.

Pumpkin Carving at Claremont Gardens, Esher, KT10 9JG
Thursday 26th October 2017, 11.00am-3.00pm
Grab a spoon, scoop out your pumpkin’s brains, and carve a terrifying face to scare all your neighbours in this Hallowe’en workshop. Helpers will be on hand with tools and stencils to copy. £1.50 per child, tea light for pumpkin included. Please bring your OWN pumpkin. Normal admission applies.

Hallowe’en Storytelling and Spooky Walk at Claremont Gardens, Esher, KT10 9JG
Friday 27th October 2017, 4.00pm, 4.30pm & 5.00pm
Listen to spooky stories in the play area, then steel your nerves for a sinister saunter around the garden as darkness falls. Bring a torch and dress warmly. Don’t forget your costume for free entry to the garden (event charge still applies). Suitable for children of all ages. £1.50 per child. Normal admission applies to adults.

Spooky Train Ride & Story Telling at Denbies Wine Estate, Dorking, RH5 6AA
Monday 23rd & Friday 27th October 2017, 10.00am, 11.00am, 12.00pm & 2.00pm
Take a spooky train ride through the vineyard on the outdoor train with a spooky story telling at the top of Ranmore Common! Warm clothing recommended / fancy dress welcome! Perfect for children aged 3 – 11. £7.50 per child which includes a spooky chocolate treat / £3 per adult which includes a hot drink.

Halloween Activity Week at Birdworld, Farnham, GU10 4LD
Monday 23rd to Friday 27th October 2017, 10.00am-6.00pm
Feel your hair stand on end and a shiver down your spine as you walk through the creepy corridors of Birdworld’s unique Halloween Grotto. Make specially themed arts and crafts, take part in face painting and follow a spooky activity trail! Normal admission applies.

Autumn Half-Term Trail at Hatchlands Park, Guildford, GU4 7RT
Monday 23rd to Sunday 29th October 2017, 10.00am-5.00pm
Learn about leaves and the trees they fall from on a fun autumn trail through our park and woodland. Take a leaf rubbing of some of our most spectacular species as you stroll through fiery seasonal colour. This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.

Willa’s Workout Halloween Fun at Godstone Farm, Godstone, RH9 8LX

Add a spooky date to your diary this Halloween and join Willa the Witch for a spooktactularly fun Workout! Plus spooky fun including Pumpkin Carving, Spooky Quiz, Face Painting and more Halloween Fun than you can swish your wand at! Normal admission applies.

Create and Grow Spooky Half Term at Squires Garden Centreall centres, excluding Chertsey & Woking
Monday 23rd to Tuesday 31st October 2017, 10.00am-4.00pm
Paint a ceramic pumpkin and scary skull tealight holder to take home with a complimentary LED tealight. Place them on your windowsill to brighten up your room during those long spooky evenings – £5.50 each. Take part in our free monster pursuit and ghostly colouring competition where you will receive a sticker and a chance to win a prize. Fancy dress welcome!

Halloween at Nower Wood, Leatherhead, KT22 8QA
Saturday 28th October 2017, 5.30pm-7.30pm
Let your imaginations run wild as we walk through to woods at night and take part in some traditional games and spooky crafts, including pumpkin carving! Members: £10 per child, £2 per adult Non Members: £13 per child, £3 per adult. Booking essential, and don’t forget to wrap up warm!

No space at home to be messy? Drop in to our family friendly Make Space every Sunday. Get stuck into Halloween crafts this Sunday. Suitable for all ages. Normal admission applies.

All Hallows Eve at the Rural Life Centre, Farnham, GU10 2DL
Sunday 29th October 2017, 3.00pm-7.00pm
There will be many attractions, all suitable for children, including storyteller, spiders, scary things, make a eitches’ hat, ride the ghost train, make a witch’s broomstick – & go for a ride! Play traditional games, make a Jack O-lantern shape, roll out your pumpkins and look out for black cats and broomsticks. The museum exhibits close to visitors at 5pm as usual. Normal admission applies.
